Chat

Conversations are the heart of the app. Messages organise into threads, and any of them can be replied to, reacted to, edited or deleted. A mention pings a specific person, emoji are at hand and so is Giphy when things need lightening up. Every message carries its read state, and participants show their availability.

Attachments

You can send images, video, arbitrary files and voice messages recorded straight in the app. Received attachments open in the app or hand off to the system viewer.

Search

Two ways to search: globally across every conversation, or inside one particular conversation. One remembered word is enough.

Conversation management

A conversation can be renamed, given a description and a picture, marked as a favourite or tagged with a label. Messages can be set to expire, the conversation switched to read-only, or a lobby placed in front of it. Participant management, clearing the history, leaving and deleting the conversation are all included.

Guests

You can invite someone without an account on your Nextcloud — through a link, optionally protected by a password.

Several accounts and servers

Multiple accounts can be signed in at once, on different Nextcloud servers if you like. Each account's data stays separate and switching between them takes one tap.

Offline use

Conversations are cached, so they open without a signal. Sending is guarded by a resilient queue — whatever you write offline goes out on its own once the connection returns.

Not there yet

Calls, video and screen sharing are not finished. The app is at version 0.1.0 and concentrates on chat.
